Crypto Adoption in Tourism Expands: Thailand and UAE Take the Lead

Starting from August 18, Thailand will launch the TouristDigiPay platform. This service enables travelers to convert their cryptocurrencies into Thai Baht and use them for seamless daily payments during their stay.

This initiative marks a significant step toward digital tourism and makes crypto payments more accessible for international visitors.

Meanwhile, in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), airlines and travel agencies such as Emirates, Air Arabia, Travala, and Alternative Airlines now allow passengers to purchase tickets with Bitcoin, Ethereum, stablecoins, and other digital assets.

These developments highlight the rapid growth of crypto adoption in travel and tourism, offering a modern, digital-first experience for travelers worldwide.
