A Lucky Bitcoin Solo Miner Wins Over $371,000 in Rewards

Bitcoin Miner

According to CoinTelegraph, a solo Bitcoin miner unexpectedly mined block 910,440 and received a reward of 3.137 BTC, worth approximately $371,000. The block included 4,913 transactions and a fee of nearly $1,455.

The miner was part of Solo CK, a pool that allows individuals to mine independently while sharing resources. Despite the dominance of huge corporations over Bitcoin’s hash rate, the chances of success for solo miners are incredibly slim.

According to Samuel Lee, the CTO of ASICKey, an individual with a single petahash of processing power has only a one in 650,000 chance of solving a block every ten minutes. This rare event highlights the element of luck that still exists within the highly competitive world of Bitcoin mining.
